How your details are handled

This page explains, in plain English, what information this website collects, why, and what happens to it. Petite Programming is run by Stephanie Day in Penrith, NSW. If you have any questions, email hello@petiteprogramming.com.au.

What this website collects

Contact form

When you send a message through the contact page, the form collects your name, email address, phone number (optional), the service you're interested in and your message. It's used only to reply to your enquiry. Submissions are received through Netlify, the company that hosts this website. The form uses Google reCAPTCHA to filter spam.

Services & Pricing Guide

When you request the pricing guide, your first name and email address are sent to MailerLite, the email service used to send the guide. On the homepage form, you also tick a box agreeing to receive the guide and occasional practical website advice. You can unsubscribe from any email at any time using the link at the bottom of it.

Booking a call

Free calls are booked through Calendly, which is embedded on the contact page. Details you enter there are handled by Calendly under its own privacy policy, and shared with Petite Programming so the call can go ahead.

Fix First (free homepage check)

When you check a website with Fix First:

  • The website address you enter is used to fetch that site's public homepage. The homepage is analysed automatically and its content isn't stored.
  • The address is also sent to Google PageSpeed Insights to measure mobile speed.
  • Your full results are shown in your browser. The detailed findings aren't saved.

Every successful check is recorded, whether or not you ask for your summary. The record contains only:

  • the website address checked, without anything after a “?” or “#”
  • the date and time of the check (in UTC)
  • the overall score
  • the weakest category

It doesn't include the website's content, your name, your email address, your IP address, your browser details or any checkbox choices. Checks that fail or are blocked aren't recorded. These records are kept in Petite Programming's form records with Netlify, and are used to understand how Fix First is used and to improve it.

Checking a website doesn't give permission to contact you or send you marketing. Petite Programming will only contact you, or send you marketing emails, if you tick the relevant box below.

If you ask for your Fix First summary by email, your first name, email address, the website address checked, your overall score, your weakest category, your top finding, your two checkbox choices and the time you submitted are saved in MailerLite so the summary can be sent.

Asking for your summary only means your summary is emailed to you. It doesn't sign you up to anything else. The two checkboxes are separate and optional:

  • “Stephanie can contact me”: only if you tick this will Stephanie get in touch about improving your website.
  • “Send me occasional practical website advice”: only if you tick this will you receive marketing emails. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Services this website relies on

These companies process some information to run this website. Some of them may store information outside Australia.

  • Netlify: website hosting, contact form submissions and the Fix First check records.
  • MailerLite: emails, including the pricing guide and Fix First summaries.
  • Calendly: booking free calls.
  • Google: PageSpeed Insights for Fix First, reCAPTCHA on the contact form, and the fonts used on this website.

How long information is kept

Enquiries and email subscriber details are kept only for as long as they're needed for the reason they were collected, or until you ask for them to be deleted.

Your choices

  • Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete the details held about you by emailing hello@petiteprogramming.com.au.
